About Ishaanya : Tripura is one sister state of the seven Northeastern State. The Northeast terms as “ Ishaan” in Bengali.This very thought is the reasn to choose the word ISHAANYA as the name for the annual techno-cultural fest of TIT ( Tripura Institute Of Technology,Agartala). This is the 5th Edition of this grand fest,which offers five days of through indulgence to the technically inclined, & the megashows with celebrity had experienced over 20000+ footfalls. The Last year shows “ 3D Projection” & “Pyromania “ had break the records of audiences with powerpack entertainment . Theme: “When the last tree is cut and the last fish killed, the last river poisoned, then you will see that you can’t eat money.”- john may. india has a population of over one billion, of which almost 300 million live in around 600 towns and cities. Unfortunately, as a result of stressed environmental conditions, most of these towns and cities are unable to cope with the rapid pace of urbanisation. Water pollution, unavailability of drinking water, inadequate sanitation, open dumping of waste, and loss of forest cover are some of the related problems. These have serious consequences on the health of the people and are also an economic burden to the country.That’s why we started “Ishaanya 2015” with a motto to “Desgning Tomorrow By creating Today” through making the india clean & green with the help of technology. INITIATIVES: 1.Existenz : Blood Donation Camp. 2.Weeskind: Donation to Orphans for Better Education. 3.’’Clean& Green” : An Initiative to make India Clean & Green. 4.Projekt-Y : Youth Campaign to create awareness about aids. 5. Mahamaya : An Initiative to save Girl Child. 6. SafeZone : An Initiative to Create awareness of Road safety.
